C decided a couple of weeks ago that he needed to 'represent' (said in a way a chic as white as me really shouldn't say it) our kiwi'ness overseas and bought two t'shirts from Global Culture for $28 NZD each.
The red one says 'Choice, eh! (chois, aye) Translation: pretty good, don't you think?'
The brown one says 'Can you handle the jandal?'
Might be a good conversation starter... that, or he'll just get a lot of other kiwis talking to him!

The funny thing is that Canadians say 'eh' a lot too, we're renowned for it! But it goes in different parts of the sentence than it does down here.
You're right, we had a Canadian friend stay with us a few months ago and it was hilarious, I found myself putting 'eh' into all sorts of places in a conversation!
eh but.
The joke goes "How do you spell Canada? C-eh, N-eh, D-eh" I lost the eh pretty damn quick when I moved down here because I was mocked so roundly. Little did I know at the time that Kiwis were just as bad or I might have been a bit more staunch!
Hehe Jacqui that's brilliant :P
